Formed in late 2022, Melody Bridge is technically approaching its first birthday as of the writing of this blog post. Singer/songwriter, Evan Koteles, initiated the formation with former bandmate and drummer from 10th Concession, David Daniels. Tito Daniel joined next on bass, known well in the music circuit of Tampa and, who crossed paths with Evan every Tuesday night at a shared house gig. The final piece to round out the group came from Jacob Cruz on guitar who Evan reached out through a good old fashioned DM on Instagram. 

The sound of the band is yet to be officially established as they are going into the studio to record their first single as a group on July 1st, 2023. 

“We're not focused on fitting into a specific genre. The first priority is that the song is strong by itself, in an acoustic format, then the production just serves to emphasize its strengths. Whether that ends up leaning country or pop is to be determined by how the chords and lyrics inspire once we all get together to work it out.”

The music industry landscape is as weird of a place as it has ever been.  Our goal as a band is to record the songs we've written to the best of our ability, share them with as many people as possible and play shows for people to escape to. The name, Melody Bridge, is quite literal. We believe melody is the bridge that can transport people where they need to go at a given time. Each song might have a different destination and each listener will as well.
